SUNDAY AFTERNOON POETRY
“a poet who offers opinions and reactions to the weightiest questions of
history and religion, while sounding less like an authority than like a
particularly well-traveled friend.”
-Publishers Weekly
Join us for a special Sunday afternoon reading in celebration of the release of "Whitethorn", the new collection of poems by award-winning poet Jacqueline Osherow. A recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, and many others, Osherow's exquisite poems deal with great and terrifying spectrum of existence, from the biblical to the tragic, especially the Holocaust, in both personal and epic tones.
